Cheyenne's Story
On May 22nd, 2025, Cheyenne was born with Hirschsprung Disease. Within her first 48 hours of life, she was rushed to Vancouver Children's Hospital for emergency surgery. Since then, she has undergone multiple abdominal procedures in Vancouver before reaching her first birthday. She currently has a two-piece stoma and is expected to require additional surgeries in the near future. Cheyenne is the youngest of three children, and her busy family has been struggling to support her over the past year.
Our goal is to unite the Fort St. John community in support of the Kvikstad/Harmons during this difficult period. We are seeking sponsors and donations to help us organize a fundraising event scheduled for May 22, 2026. Our hope is that, by this time coinciding with Cheyenne's first birthday—we can help alleviate some of the financial burden on the Kvikstad/Harmons family, allowing them to focus on Cheyenne's recovery and future endeavors she has to overcome.
